Surviving the economic crisis by doing the right thing: A nonprofit toolbox for ethical decision-making

More than ever, nonprofits need strong ethics programs to guide their daily work and decision-making. In tough economic times, the challenges of doing business can tempt any organization, including nonprofits, to cut ethical corners.

Tim Delaney, president of the National Council of Nonprofits, will examine the reasons nonprofits should develop ethics programs and suggest practical and easy ethics tools nonprofits can use to protect their organizations and advance public trust.

Tim Delaney serves as president and CEO of the National Council of Nonprofits, the nation's largest network of nonprofits, with over 20,000 nonprofit members. Tim previously served as partner at a large law firm; solicitor general and chief deputy attorney general for his state; and founder of the nonprofit Center for Leadership, Ethics & Public Service. He has served nonprofits as an attorney, author, board chair, CEO, consultant, founder, incubator, lobbyist, teacher, trainer and volunteer.
