Since NCGives’ founding, we have been partnering with the CPC on various efforts throughout their constituency in Western North Carolina, particularly around the giving of time and talent.
Focus:
Changing communities by amplifying giving (especially the giving of time and talent in communities of color); and documenting and lifting up horizontal giving or Philanthropy of Community, the webs of mutual giving, help, and support that exist naturally in low-wealth communities and communities of color.

North Carolina Latino Nonprofit Leadership Academy
History:
NCGives was one of the primary sponsors for 2008’s inaugural class of the Academy (other collaborators were Development Training Institute, Hispanics in Philanthropy and the North Carolina Latino Coalition).
Focus:
The Academy was established to support the growth of Latino leaders and contribute to the sustainability of Latino nonprofits, increasing their ability to effect systemic and transformative change as stewards of diverse low-income Latino community organizations in North Carolina.

North Carolina Network of Women Givers
History:
The Network, started with financial support from NCGives and technical assistance from NCGives’ partner, Creative Philanthropy, held its first statewide gathering in Asheville in 2006. Subsequent annual conferences have been held in Raleigh and Winston-Salem.
Focus:
This informal network celebrates the collective power of women. While not a membership organization, it is a rolling coalition established to build capacity — individually and collectively — for women's giving across the state, and to learn about the statewide issues affecting women and children.

The coalition, formed in 2006 with financial support from NCGives, is a multi-cultural statewide network of people of color that amplifies the wealth and power of giving, in all its forms, from people and communities of color.

The coalition has been working to create new knowledge and understanding about giving, and to build authentic relationships within and across our diverse communities.

North Carolina Youth Giving Network
History:
This statewide network for high school-age givers first emerged throughout 2005-06 with four founding youth giving sites. The network has grown to consist of 17 youth giving sites around the state, and convenes annually for the NC Youth Giving Summit. With initial financial support from NCGives and managed by NCGives partner Leading To Change, many other organizational partners have joined the network in support of their local youth givers.
