Attention, North Carolina givers (that's you)!

We know so many of you are doing inspiring work throughout our state, and that's why part of NCGives' mission is to celebrate the giving going on around us. It's why we're spreading the word, and calling attention to your giving news.

And we're not the only ones who want to help you do this...read on for four other opportunities to get your cause noticed, for free!

  • 50 in 52 Journey - (*Time-sensitive*) This national project is spending 52 weeks visiting all 50 states, looking for "the people in every community who are solving problems not only for themselves, but for the people around them" (for an example, see what they discovered in Georgia).
    • You can nominate someone in your community who is making an impact through giving. But here's the catch - they're coming to the Carolinas next week, so get your nominations in fast!
  • Gear Up for Giving: Social Media Tutorials for Nonprofits - (*Time-sensitive*) Do you understand Twitter? Do you know how to use Facebook? Online social media is today's cutting edge way to get people to pay attention to your cause. If you're new to the social media world, or want to learn about the best social media resources for nonprofits, this free series of web-based tutorials (presented by The Case Foundation) is for you.
  • YouTube Video Volunteers - Speaking of social media, creating online videos to post on your website, YouTube and elsewhere is a great way to start a buzz about your cause. So what can you do if you don't have the resources to make it happen? YouTube has partnered with volunteer matching service All for Good to make the special "Video Volunteers" channel - it rounds up folks who want to use their video skills for good and connects them with nonprofits.
