This week, NCGives received a letter from Governor Bev Perdue as she joins us in recognizing November as National Philanthropy Month. We wanted to share her words with you, the "citizens committed to improving the lives of others" who make North Carolina a truly giving state!

NCGives is leading "Giving as the Essence of Community," the pre-conference workshop for the Statewide Conference for North Carolina's Nonprofit Sector (September 2009 - Concord, NC)...and we are pleased to announce that a discount has been offered to all NCGives constituents registering for the pre-conference workshop by August 31.
This means that even if you are not a member of the North Carolina Center for Nonprofits, you can still get the member rate for the pre-conference workshop of $85 (a savings of $165!).
