We're very excited to announce that NCGives has been selected as one of only 22 organizations in the USA to participate in the Cultures of Giving Donor Challenge, an initiative of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. For 10 days in April, you'll have an opportunity to help NCGives build stronger communities as we grow and advocate for community philanthropy in North Carolina.
Our goal for this online giving challenge is to raise $100,000 -- and with your help, we'll also receive an additional $20,000-minimum matching grant from WKKF!

Giving circles are becoming more and more common as folks learn of this meaningful alternative to solo giving. Gov. Perdue Declares November “Philanthropy Month” in North Carolina

October 26, 2011
Editor's Note: Our governor recently issued this proclamation in recognition of the many folks (like you!) whose giving is the glue holding our communities together. Over the next few weeks, we ask you to really notice, celebrate and encourage the giving going on all around you...and to remember its importance not just this month, but all throughout the year. As author Nathaniel Hawthorne once said, "Generosity is the flower of justice."
RALEIGH/STATEWIDE - At the request of NCGives, Governor Bev Perdue has issued a proclamation designating November as Philanthropy Month in North Carolina, a first in the history of the state. (Click here to access a PDF scan of the original proclamation.)
