Many of you are headed to North Carolina's beaches for the holiday weekend....why not share a few hours of your time with local residents to help with Hurricane Irene recovery?

Interfaith Community Outreach is the local nonprofit coordinating volunteer and recovery needs. Their phone numbers are 252-475-5758 and 252-475-5759.

If you're not on the coast but still want to help, several disaster relief funds have been set up that will give 100% of your contribution to relief efforts. To learn more, go to http://www.ncgrantmakers.org/?DisasterReliefFunds.
