Help celebrate some women givers in the Triangle!

If you live in the Triangle, here are a couple easy opportunities to celebrate and support some of the women givers in your community:

Celebrating Women of Color Making a Difference in Wake County

AARP N.C. and the Triangle Older Women's League are accepting nominations for local women of color over 50 who have given of themselves for the benefit of the community. The honorees will be announced at celebration on October 12 at Poplar Springs Christian Church. Get Details Here 

SWOOP Needs Your Vote to Build Wheelchair Ramps

The women of SWOOP (Strong Women Organizing Outrageous Projects) are in the running for $25,000 from the Pepsi Refresh Project, which will help them build wheelchair ramps for those in need. Your vote is needed to help make it happen!  Vote Here
