NCGives' own executive director, Donna Chavis, was one of 35 North Carolina leaders chosen to be interviewed for the recently released coffee table book, Secrets of Success: North Carolina Values-Based Leadership. Other North Carolinians profiled in the book include former Governor Jim Hunt, Franklin Graham, the late Kay Yow and Richard Petty.

In her own essay, Donna tells the story of how her father inspired her to lead through giving.

The book was compiled by the General H. Hugh Shelton Leadership Center of NC State University.
