The "Serve America Act" was passed on April 21, 2009, signaling the largest expansion of organized national service since FDR. Very appropriate for April, which is also National Volunteer Month!

For this April's National Volunteer Month, we are excited to share that next week, we'll be bringing you a guest blogger who is definitely in the know with the volunteerism movement: Amber Smith of ME³.

Back in 2005, Amber (an active volunteer herself) co-founded ME³ to help close the gap between folks who want to help out in the community but don't know how to start, and those community organizations that need volunteer support.
