• The Wake County-based volunteer organzation ME³ has been chosen as an August finalist for Citgo's national "FuelingGood" contest (the Citgo website says July, but they are an August finalist). You can help this group continue to grow the giving of time and talent by voting now (and vote once every day through the August 15)!

• The Raleigh-based giving circle The Beehive Collective is taking proposals for their 2009 grant cycle. If you are a nonprofit organization that serves Raleigh residents and has projects related to economic security, please see the Collective's 2009 grant information. The Collective will be awarding two grants between $5,000 and $15,000 (application deadline is September 1, 2009).
